Vintage JAJ Pyrex England 2.5 Pint Covered Casserole Dish 524 Market Garden Tuscany Tuscan Vegetables Ovenware Oval Casserole 1970s Cookware

This fabulous technicolored 2.5 pint/1.5 quart or 6 cups capacity oval casserole dish was made by JAJ Pyrex in England and features the colourful Market Garden Tuscany vegetable graphics. It includes a clear, glass lid which is embossed with JAJ - Made in England. The dish is also stamped on the bottom: JAJ, with crown emblem, Made in England, 524. (James A. Jobling, for whom the company is named JAJ, acquired the license to make Pyrex in England from the Corning company in 1923.)

This is an extremely durable, oven to table piece which can go in the oven, the freezer, and the refrigerator (it is NOT recommended to put these in the microwave.) Pyrex should also be washed by hand to keep the graphics vibrant and shiny, dishwasher detergents can dull the finish and colour.

Measurements: Capacity - 6 cups to the top
Length: 12 inches with handles and lid (the lid is a little longer longer than the dish, this makes for easy removal when hot)
Width: 7.75 inches
Height: 2.5 inches (4 inches with lid)

Condition: This casserole dish with lid is in excellent preloved, vintage condition with only little evidence of use. The graphics are vibrant and shiny. There is a tiny chip on the rim of the dish about 3mm in size, likely from the lid and it it hardly noticeable by eye. Overall a lovely piece and it will brighten up your kitchen with the fantastic multi-coloured design from JAJ Pyrex England. Please refer to the pictures as they are a part of the description.
