Vintage Chip and Dip Bowls Set with Brass Metal Bracket Clear Glass Hexagonal Base Mid Century Mod MCM Art Deco Hollywood Regency Serveware

This is a hip set of mid century chip and dip bowls with a uniquely designed, gold-tone brass metal bracket which is fixed to the larger bowl to hold the smaller dip bowl in place over the larger bowl. This set is unmarked and was made by either Jeanette Glass, Indiana Glass or Hazel-Atlas. The bowls are clear glass, circular in shape with a thick hexagonal block base and the smaller dip bowl has 22k gold around the top edge. Now that you're really cooking with gas; you'll want to get on that horn and invite some friends over for a big bash, this set was made for entertaining in style!

Measurements: 4 1/4 inches in height (6 5/8” including handles) and 11 inches in diameter (12 1/4” from handle to handle)

Condition: It is in fantastic preloved vintage condition with only minor imperfections which are characteristic of the age of this piece. The gold-tone metal is slightly worn/tarnished in some spots and there is some slight shelf wear on the hexagonal base of the larger bowl, appropriate wear for the age of this piece. Please refer to the pictures as they are a part of the description. If you have any concerns about the condition or you require more detail I can provide additional photographs on request.

Frequently Asked Questions

Care instructions

Most vintage and antique glassware should be hand washed only and not in the dishwasher; especially any pieces with graphics or colourful patterns, for example Pyrex, Fire King, Glasbake, Corelle, drinkware, etc. Dishwashers can dull the finish on these unique pieces and cause premature wear to the surface and patterns or cause what is known as DWD or Dishwasher Damage which is irreversible. It's always better to be safe and wash by hand if you can.

Add some dish washing liquid into a sink or basin and add warm water. Placing a towel underneath can help to avoid breakage. It is best to use a damp cloth for any pieces with hand-painted decorations to preserve the art as even regular hand-washing can degrade these over time.

Does your store offer local pick-ups?

Absolutely! If you would like to coordinate a local pick-up in Durham Region you may either purchase the items and send a note after the fact to request a pick-up and we will then refund your shipping costs; or you can send a message prior to the order to request the local pick-up and we can remove the shipping costs on the items you wish to purchase. Ordering the items immediately will guarantee availability; this is the ideal method to ensure your selection(s) are not purchased by someone else in the interim, in case we do not respond to your inquiry soon enough (we will respond within 24 hours; however, we may not be available at the exact moment of your message)
