This 3 Piece Relish Set (6 Part Relish & Jar) crafted by the Jeannette Glass Company features crystal clear pressed glass with a fluted starburst radiating out from the centre of the platter; a hobnail pattern in the circular inner section for the matching covered condiment jar, and double handles on each side for easy carrying. The matching condiment jar has the same Ribbed & Dot Design as the relish platter and includes a beautiful lid, complete with a decorative finial for easy removal. The dimensions of this 6 section relish tray are 15 inches in length from handle to handle by 12 1/2 inches in width. The condiment jar with lid measures 4 5/8 inches in height by 3 inches in width.
National Gift Ware from Jeannette Glass Company - (Late 1930s -1950s) (Crystal)
“National Gift Ware is a pattern that was introduced in the late 1930’s. National Gift Ware was a heavy vertical ribbed pattern. Many, but not all of the pieces had tiny ringed circles in the bottom. Because of the heavy nature of the glass, this pattern was durable and not easily damaged. “This glassware was popular in both homes and eating establishments and remained in the Jeannette line for a good many years.”
Condition: This relish tray/platter and condiment jar with lid are in excellent preloved, vintage condition. There is some evidence of light wear in a couple spots on the underside of the platter where it sits on the table, some slight cosmetic scuffing but nothing out of the ordinary. A couple of cosmetic bubbles from manufacturing which is to be expected. The heavy glass is extremely clear and shiny, no chips or cracks. This relish platter set is perfect for serving at weddings and bridal showers or lovely to use when entertaining guests.

Care instructions
Most vintage and antique glassware should be hand washed only and not in the dishwasher; especially any pieces with graphics or colourful patterns, for example Pyrex, Fire King, Glasbake, Corelle, drinkware, etc. Dishwashers can dull the finish on these unique pieces and cause premature wear to the surface and patterns or cause what is known as DWD or Dishwasher Damage which is irreversible. It's always better to be safe and wash by hand if you can.
Add some dish washing liquid into a sink or basin and add warm water. Placing a towel underneath can help to avoid breakage. It is best to use a damp cloth for any pieces with hand-painted decorations to preserve the art as even regular hand-washing can degrade these over time.

If you would like to coordinate a local pick-up in Durham Region you may either purchase the items and send a note after the fact to request a pick-up and we will then refund your shipping costs; or you can send a message prior to the order to request the local pick-up and we can remove the shipping costs on the items you wish to purchase.
